The New Jersey State Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 21. The High School Boys Race finished in a fast time. Joe Rosa was favored along with his twin James Rosa to go for the gold and silver respectively. As was expected, with 14.30 into the race the call came they were about to come out from the hill and it was Joe Rosa then Jim Rosa some 18 seconds back with Dave Oster a distant third.
As Joe Rosa race to the finish the large crowd gathered burst in a roar anticipating Joe Rosa breaking the course record and indeed he did. Running 14.56 to smash the record by some 19 seconds his brother James Rosa, also broke the record by one second. Next season should be very interesting as the Rosa twins return for their senior year.
Its now on to the Nationals, whether he will run the Nike Cross Country National or The Foot Locker High School Cross Country Championships, I think Joe Rosa have a great shot of being in the top ten. What do you think?
