Nichelle Harris a senior from Rahway High School is a "diamond in the rough" runner. Under the radar last year 2008, cross country season her best time was 20.00. In the 2009 indoor season she started to show growth which translated to a 2.18.64 in the800m (SB).
For the outdoor season she ran a (PR) 2.14.95 and in the 1600m a time of 5.08. Her 2009 cross country season started well with a best of 18.55 at her sectionals, NJSIAA Group 2. She went on to NJSIAA Group Championship at Holmdel where she ran a time of 19.56.
She is really one of the better middle distance runners in New Jersey to look for on the track this coming season, as I think she will do very well on the track in the 800m and the 1600m.
